remembering

Ronnie James Dio
the golden voice

he's dead
for some time now

but one thing this man brought to my life is something beautiful
he made me realize
 vocals in metal
is not about growls, screams or pig squeals

its about singing beautifully too

well i first knew about this legend
from Tenacious D's song called Kickapoo
ronnie just sang about 30 seconds i guess in the song
but it really blew me away
its not Jack Black's or Kyle Gass' voice
so it must be someone else and not from Tenacious D

then i watched The Pick Of Destiny movie
and i saw Dio
which explained it

im only into a song or two from this guy
but after that i found
Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Seether and many more
the metal bands, without the screamo
and it was awesome

now he's gone
and there must be more like him from the coming generations

for me, the current golden voice of the generation is

Corey Taylor
of slipknot

or

unmask

his voice is Badass!
its one of my never-gonna-come-true dream
to have a voice like this guy

but only some of the songs from his band, Slipknot
that really caught me in the heart

im more into hearing his voice
than the band

then, when Slipknot decided to take a break
Corey Taylor decided to do a side project
which is Stone Sour
and this is just the band i'd love to see exist
less shitty turntable sounds, effects and useless extra percussion
with Corey Taylor on the mic
